Assetto Corsa Telemetry Data to UE5(WIP)

My plan with this project was to create a Ken Block Style Gymkhana video in Unreal Engine 5 using Assetto Corsa telemetry data. So far, I have a car driving around a map in Unreal Engine, using the chassis roll, wheel speed, suspension travel, steering angle and coordinate data, taken from telemetry recorded inside of Assetto Corsa, a driving simulator. Below is a video showing the progress made so far.

To do:

  • Fix lightmap issues on car

  • Get nanite working for map

  • Add the map textures to Unreal Engine

  • Texture the car

  • Add tyre smoke effects

  • Add gravel effects

  • Separate boxes from map model so they can have physics and can be hit by the car

  • Story Board the sequence of events
